- In the future , the research area of the Mobile Computing will become more focused on sensing and how to be more widespread  , the importance of location , invert  its application areas ,incorporate optical communications ,and flexible radio technologies .

 Therefore, the research areas for mobile computing, relative to other areas , will be reduced. This is due to the changing nature of the research landscape .

Opportunities for the future research in this area could involve mobile cloud computing or mobile multi-core computing that aligns to the ICT priorities Towards an Intelligent Information Infrastructure and Many-core Architectures and Concurrency in Embedded and Distributed Systems.
